Wonderful

Until You by Jeannie Moon is an intricate story about love, passion, starting over by learning from our mistakes. Kate and Laura do this as mother and daughter, then as individuals on their own. I found this mother and daughter to be realistically portrayed. As the story progresses, it clearly shows the relationship that had been forced upon them and how they both change. Even the ex-husband and father of Laura, Richard seemed authentic; cruel, yes, but realistic. He scared me more than a little which is my only complaint. I would have been happier if he has winded up in jail. More than once, I wanted to yell for Kate to change her locks and insisting that Laura not share the codes with him.

The younger/older romance is so well developed. David Burke for all his success in the hockey rink and nice boy ways needed the stability of Kate. His previous causal choices were amateurish at best, nightmarish at worst. Over the course of the story, he seemed to grow and mature, just as Kate grew in her confidence and ability to stand up for herself.

The plot has some interesting turn of events. I expected a showdown with the ex-husband but here were other emotional moving unexpected ones. The second story line with Laura parallels her mother’s story until they both connected. This is awesome how it was planned and executed by the author. Impressive.

Family dynamics with a woman coming into her own is at the heart of this story. It is a well-written updated and contemporary take on relationships and life. I did not find it to be predictable which I thought at first it might be. Thinking of that, I believe fans of Danielle Steele or Nora Roberts will love to discover this author.

Another Great One!!

Kate is divorced, alone, has no relationship with her daughter, and is turning forty. For years her ex has put her down, and humiliated her and she doesn't even realize it. And now he wants full custody of their 17 yr old daughter. The only joy she has is her writing. As an acclaimed author, she has the adoration of many. Why can't her daughter respect her?

David is the face of the Flyers. As a professional hockey player, David has any girl he wants. Then he takes a bet that will change his life forever. He has been thinking about his life and wanting more. A home, and family. At 29, he feels it's time.�

When they meet it is an instant connection, and one that David can't forget. Even after finding out her age, he still wants to be with her. But she has her own problems and doesn't see how they can make it work. Can David show her what it really means to love and be loved as you should be? Will Kate accept David and all his past, to become the woman she is meant to be with him?�

Throughout their journey, these two experience blinding lust, extreme joy, and heartshredding sadness. You will be swept away as they fight to overcome all the obstacles in their way to find lasting happiness. Truly enjoyed this great story!!�

Fantastic!!

I read this book as an ARC from NetGalley, and devoured it. There were three consecutive late nights (because that was the only time I had to read) and I can tell you that I have never been so happy to be this exhausted.

I knew that I loved Jeannie’s writing after finishing Second Chance Hero, but oh my goodness. Watching as Kate struggled with the aftermath of her douche-bag husband’s affair and the subsequent divorce was such a roller coaster of emotion for me. I swear that I was ready to kick her ex-husband’s ass myself by the time I got halfway through the book. The man is so frustratingly evil and manipulative, and then just so completely clueless by the end of the book that I just…I cheered. I won’t lie. I won’t give spoilers, but…there are a few scenes where I cheered.

The story also examines the relationship between Kate and her daughter, Laura, who struggles with handling the divorce. Kate doesn’t want to spoil the relationship between father and daughter, understanding that connection is important for her daughter, but her lack of truth just frustrates Laura. It’s really fun to watch their relationship evolve.

The chemistry between Kate & David Burke, the famous hockey player, was simply off-the-charts-hot. There are a lot of obstacles in their way, and the age difference is just one of them. David is adorable and sweet, clueless at times, but…endearing. The back and forth between these two was so insane that I couldn’t.put.the.book.down.

As a man, I learned.

I bought this book because I love to hear the stories of others. The problem with this book was that it had no stories, Rupi encapsulates you in an experience. I bought this to read to my significant other, I thought it may be just another pleasantry to share, but as I read it to her, I got so lost in the experience that I forgot that there was a person next to me. Feeling like it was an out-of-body type experience, I learned, and at the end of the day, I'll be a better father, son, brother, and lover because of it. So I thank the artist. Truly a pleasure.

The style reminds me of a grownup Shel Silverstein book, had Shel covered abuse, love, and loss. Some of the poems hit harder than others, but overall it's worth a read. The book can be read cover to cover in a sitting, so commitment is minimal.

�� Moving through some very hard hitting and emotional subjects, this collection of poetry leaves one raw.� Divided into four chapters, each reveals a different pain, or heals it.� Some are uplifting, empowering even.... and some are dark and leave one troubled.� Joining some of these poems are sketches and drawings that I rather liked.
�� My Thoughts:
��I have noticed that this is a book you either love or hate.� It is getting a lot of chatter on Goodreads and Litsy, not all of it good.� A lot of people are saying they were "underwhelmed".� For me, this could not be further from the truth.� Now granted, there were parts that were easier to get through than others (trigger warning, we discuss rape and abuse).� Now, as it is free-verse it does not have the rhyme scheme that a lot of people are looking for (insisted at she "just put words down" no poetic devices.) The lack of rhyme, though does not indicate the lack of poetry.� For myself, I loved this book.� It made me sad, angry, and happy... all the feelings.� I loved how she expressed herself, how she shared so much of what we all try to hide.� This was real, raw, and sometimes terrifying.� Five Stars!�
On the adult content scale, I have to give it a nine.� There was quite a bit of sexual content, not all of it consensual.� This is definitely geared toward adults

Megan Stone has her masters in science education and was a teacher in the Eden Prairie and Edina districts in Minnesota .� She has been working with students and faculty for over 15 years.� She is the founder and president of Stone Foundations of Learning. The mission of Stone Foundations of Learning, Inc., is to help students and faculty build confidence in and outside of the classroom by teaching organizational skills and improving their quality of work, while developing a student’s ability to advocate for themselves and encouraging them to take responsibility for their own actions through ownership. This confidence in the classroom then carries over to every aspect of their lives.� Stone Foundations of Learning is also committed to training educators in new educational techniques and helping them to teach their students how to take ownership over their educational experience.

The ‘Ownership Story’ began eleven years ago when Megan, an Edina, Minnesota , native and resident, stopped full-time teaching and started tutoring students in math and science. She quickly realized that the problem was not necessarily the subject matter, but that students often lacked the organizational skills and confidence they needed to succeed in school. Great book and author!

I bought this book because I am an aspiring Hedge Fund manager myself. I read the whole text in a two days because Lars covers everything from his experience as a manager. He is very down-to-earth throughout the book and he doesn't sugar coat anything. He tells you the upside and downside of being involved in the Hedge Fund industry and warns you as well while also giving great tips. Lars is also a really great guy. I've had questions about my future in the Hedge Fund industry and emailed him for insight and he took the time out of his day to email me back with a detailed response. Do not hesitate to buy his books, you could really learn a lot.

Lars does a great job reflecting on his struggles and pitfalls, telling readers exactly how he felt as the events unfolded. That said, his investment style differentiates from mine in nearly all aspects so I did not get as much out of this book as many others I've read. But Lars' ability and knowledge on the subject is on par with the best in the business, therefore I would recommend this book to anyone interested in in-depth financial statement analysis and arbitrage trading,

A great read

I stumbled across this book while browsing Amazon. I chose this book over other hedge fund / high finance books because I have also formed a hedge fund of the same strategy (market neutral) as Kroijer's Holte Capital. I am also attempting to go at it solo, and Kroijer started Holte with just himself, a CFO, and maybe another analyst. I was also very familiar with one of Kroijer's previous employers. I was hoping to compare my experiences with his and also perhaps glean some insights I had not considered.

To the former point, I thought Kroijer presented an exceptionally accurate portrayal of the formation (and ensuing frustration) of a fund. I read some passages about raising capital aloud to my wife, who then said, "That's what YOU"VE said many times!" It was almost therapeutic to know someone as ultimately successful as Kroijer also struggled at the outset.

To the latter point, I was always troubled about what would happen if and when I raised a relatively small amount of capital but took to amortizing my fund costs over the 60 months as the fund docs dictate. Kroijer had this exact experience and explained how he addressed it, and it was something I hadn't really considered but now have it in the back of my mind if and when the time comes.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an accurate depiction of the highs and lows of the full life cycle of a hedge fund. It is not the highly glamorized Hollywood-esque exploits of "The Wolf of Wall Street (another good book, so I am not panning that in anyway), but I mention this as a plus for "Money Mavericks." The media often puts its own agenda on the table when "reporting" about hedge funds, and as a result the public often has the wrong idea. This book sets the record straight more than any media outlet ever will.

Todo ello capacitara gradualmente al alumno para poder expresar sus ideas y llegar a argumentarlas.En el apartado Expresionario se introduce e incrementa el conocimiento de modismos, refranes y frases hechas de uso frecuente entre los hablantes nativos.Las secciones Vamos a hablar! y Situaciones proponen la practica directa de conversacion y sirven de punto de partida para alcanzar fluidez en la destreza oral. This is a wonderful book, packed full of very useful and current information.
