One of the best devotionals we have ever used IF you get the companion book with it also, a larger book that does not have the word DEVOTIONAL on it. Dr. Merritt does an amazing job of tying thoughts and scriptures from places you cannot imagine to everyday life in 2016. The devotional is just for 5 days a week and the weeks have no dates which we wish they did. We started at the beginning and it seems to be building on the previous week. We look forward to every morning. Great, great thought provoking, and if you are willing, a wonderful opening to discussion.

Gifted pastor

Dr. Merrit is a gifted paster and teacher. I love his devotional and while it is a companion to his book (the same name), it is not necessary to have the book to enjoy the devotional. If you are looking for someone to help guide you in your walk with Christ I highly recommend James Merritt.
