Having majored in Physics and Mathematics in college, as well as teaching in college and doing scientific work in industry, I enjoy examining the various theories and concepts. "Gravity and Gravitation" has been an effort to explain the concepts and derive many of the equations used. Hopefully, students will find the material useful in their studies.
About the Author
Ron Kurtus has worked in scientific fields for a number of years, including the Santa Barbara Research Center and the Air Force Space Systems Division. He taught Mathematics at the University or Missouri and Physical Science at the Milwaukee Area Technical College. He is also founder of the School for Champions educational website (www.school-for-champions.com), which encourages scientific studies.

Covers classical physics only, no General Relativity.

This book covers classical Newtonian gravity only, but it does cover that topic thoroughly. It does not cover any General Relativity. Several times I saw the phrase "this topic is beyond the scope of this book".
